About the position

The Automotive Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the parts department within the dealership, ensuring efficient procurement, management, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories. This role is essential for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and optimizing inventory levels while collaborating with service technicians and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Oversee inventory control, including procurement, stocking, and distribution of OEM parts.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms for automotive parts.
• Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely availability of parts needed for repairs.
• Implement effective logistics strategies to streamline the supply chain process.
• Maintain accurate records of parts sales, inventory levels, and supplier contracts.
• Train and develop staff in best practices for parts management and customer service.
• Monitor market trends to forecast demand and adjust inventory accordingly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in automotive service or dealership environments.
• Strong background in supply chain management and procurement management.
• Familiarity with OEM parts and their application in various vehicle models.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier interactions.
• Mechanical knowledge is essential to understand the components being managed.
• Experience in logistics operations related to automotive parts distribution is preferred.
