About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Parts Manager to oversee our parts department at Safford Brown Hyundai Fairfax. The ideal candidate will manage inventory, source parts, and ensure efficient supply chain operations, playing a crucial role in maintaining optimal inventory levels for timely repairs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the inventory of automotive parts, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
• Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of parts.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Implement effective demand planning strategies to anticipate inventory needs.
• Coordinate with the service department to ensure parts availability for equipment repair.
• Maintain organized warehouse management practices to streamline operations.
• Monitor supply chain activities to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
• Train and supervise staff within the parts department, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes within an automotive context is preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment repair procedures and automotive repair practices is a plus.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools is desirable.
