About the position

The Payroll Support Specialist is responsible for assisting our Payroll Team and Operations Team across all Platforms to ensure accurate and timely processing of various payroll functions for all associates. This includes working with dealership personnel to validate that payroll information is correct in our Time Management System, all tickets are answered in a timely manner in our Solar Winds system and provide excellent support to all team members in our dealerships on company policy and procedures to ensure all data and processing is compliant with key controls.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors Solar Winds queue, assign tickets as needed, and troubleshoot payroll and UTA issues
  • Processes weekly pay cards and monthly permanent cards
  • Reassigns PTO policies to employees returning from LOA
  • Processes supervisor updates based on manager change report
  • Acts as a backup to approve time and pull time files for Weekly and Semi-Monthly payrolls for our UTA system admin when they are not available
  • Sets up new employees in Ultimate
  • Works with the dealerships to resolve payroll issues and concerns
  • Monitors time code appropriation and confirm with HR and managers
  • Monitors balance violations and work with managers to correct issues with PTO
  • Assists managers with UTA processes
  • Opens cases with UKG as needed
  • Receives and distribute all incoming mail items including but not limited to Garnishments and VOEs
  • Answers questions and assist with issues related to pay and payroll for all associates
  • Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization

Requirements

  • Acute attention to detail, process and organization
  • Intermediate Excel and MS Office skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work at a fast pace with a high degree of accuracy
  • Must adhere to strict deadlines
  • Some Accounting and/or Payroll Experience Preferred
  • Ad-hoc payroll reporting experience a plus
  • Commission Experience a plus
  • At least 2 years in Customer Service/Support role
  • Prior Automotive experience preferred
