About the position

The Vehicle Pre-Inspector role at U-Haul involves evaluating incoming vehicles to determine necessary repairs and diagnose issues. This position serves as the first point of contact for vehicle assessments, utilizing proprietary technology to ensure quality standards are met. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations of equipment through multipoint inspections.
• Understand and implement U-Haul quality standards.
• Diagnose and recommend courses of action (parts and labor).
• Allocate necessary parts and labor on work orders for technicians.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs as needed.
• Engage in continued learning via U-Haul education to stay updated with current technology and the new fleet.
• Assist in additional areas as necessary, following supervisor directives.

Requirements

• Positive attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools
• Understanding of automotive/trailer mechanics
• Valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record.
