About the position

The Automotive Recon Detailer at Liberty Ford Southwest Inc is responsible for cleaning and refurbishing new and used automobiles according to dealership and manufacturer specifications. This entry-level position involves various detailing tasks to ensure vehicles are presented in a clean and appealing manner for customers.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles according to dealership specifications.
• Washes vehicle exterior and cleans interior and exterior windows.
• Applies wax to auto body and buffs the surface.
• Vacuums the interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents.
• Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior surfaces.
• Cleans engine and engine compartment using steam-cleaning equipment.
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects such as dents and scratches.
• Restores appearance of engine area, rugs, upholstery, and painted surfaces.
• Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.
• Maintains showroom and stock vehicles in a clean and presentable condition.
• Operates all tools in a safe manner and keeps the work area neat and clean.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
• Takes photos of vehicles and uploads them online.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• 1 year of detailing experience preferred.
