About the position

The Automotive Sales Consultant at Fields Mercedes-Benz Romeoville is responsible for providing a luxury experience to both internal and external customers. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, maintaining extensive product knowledge, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and follow-up. The position is integral to fostering long-term relationships with customers in a family-owned and operated dealership that values safety, integrity, courtesy, presentation, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain extensive product knowledge.
• Be knowledgeable about the dealership's complete inventory.
• Achieve sales targets by selling and delivering a required number of units per month.
• Greet and assist customers in the showroom and sales lot with enthusiasm and courtesy.
• Clearly explain vehicle performance, benefits, and optional equipment.
• Offer test drives and follow dealership procedures for customer identification.
• Use the dealership's sales control and follow-up system effectively.
• Demonstrate a high commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Understand and adhere to federal, state, and local auto sales laws.
• Explain vehicle equity, values, and depreciation to customers.
• Ensure the sales manager meets each customer.
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork to the finance and insurance manager.
• Prepare vehicles for delivery and ensure the customer understands the vehicle's features, warranty, and paperwork.
• Follow up on post-delivery items, tag/title work, and customer requests.
• Maintain systems for owner follow-up, prospect development, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements
