About the position
Gillespie Chevrolet is seeking Automotive Sales Professionals to join their growing sales team in Union Springs, NY. The role involves assisting customers in selecting vehicles, providing product information, and closing sales in a fast-paced dealership environment. The position offers a competitive pay plan and a supportive work environment with no Sunday shifts.
Responsibilities
- Approach, greet, and offer assistance to customers in the dealership showroom or sales lot.
- Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening to their responses.
- Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
- Describe all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
- Build strong rapport with customers.
- Perform high-quality, professional presentations and demonstrations of new/used vehicles.
- Learn to overcome objections, close sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards.
- Report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.
Requirements
- Car sales experience is helpful but not required.
- Must have customer service experience.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Positive attitude and demeanor.
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills.
- Strong focus and desire to achieve sales goals.
- Strong phone skills and computer skills.
