The Automotive Service Advisor at Shoreline Hyundai is an entry-level position focused on providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced automotive service environment. The role involves welcoming customers, scheduling appointments, and acting as a liaison between customers and automotive technicians. The advisor will ensure customer concerns are addressed promptly and effectively, translating complex automotive terminology into understandable language for customers. This position is ideal for individuals with strong communication skills and a passion for customer service, with no prior experience required as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers to the service department and schedule timely appointments.
  • Create detailed notes on customer concerns for technicians to address.
  • Translate complex automotive repair jargon into common terms for customer understanding.
  • Ensure accurate repair estimates and explain work to be performed.
  • Coordinate the ordering of parts and schedule follow-up preventive maintenance appointments.
  • Act as a customer advocate to exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to relate to customers and understand their concerns
