About the position

The Automotive Service BDC Representative plays a crucial role in the dealership's Service Business Development Center by managing customer service appointment requests, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to service retention goals. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Answering and scheduling incoming customer service appointment requests via websites and phone calls.
  • Scheduling the first oil change appointment for vehicles sold by the dealership.
  • Contacting customers who missed a scheduled service appointment to reschedule.
  • Following up on manufacturer special offers.
  • Proactively contacting customers about vehicle recalls.
  • Tracking and meeting manufacturer dealership and district goals for service retention and loyalty.
  • Assisting with cashing out customers when needed.

Requirements

  • Great phone and written communication skills.
  • Friendly demeanor and self-motivated attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Automotive knowledge (preferred but not required).
  • Bilingual candidates preferred.
  • Automotive Sales and/or BDC experience (preferred but not required).
  • Call center experience helpful.
