Mr. Jim's Auto is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to lead and manage all aspects of the auto-repair shop. This role involves not only overseeing shop operations but also selling repairs to clients to meet sales goals. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the auto-repair shop.
- Sell repairs to clients to help the shop reach its sales goals.
- Oversee the hiring, training, and performance management of employees.
- Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Manage shop operations to maintain standards and values.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must possess a current valid driver's license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- 2+ years' automotive shop management experience.
- 1+ year experience in a service advisor role or demonstrate an ability to sell.
- Proven experience managing employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, counseling, and termination.
- Experience with performance management, including coaching and delivering performance reviews.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide effective solutions.
- Ability to interpret and calculate financial figures and reports.
- Demonstrated experience managing a P&L.
