About the position

Join Our Team as a Service Receptionist! Are you a friendly, professional, and highly organized individual with a passion for customer service? We are looking for a Service Receptionist to be the first point of contact for all visitors and callers to our dealership. In this role, you’ll help create a welcoming atmosphere, assist customers with their inquiries, and ensure smooth communication across the dealership. Your attention to detail and friendly attitude will help ensure our customers have an exceptional experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all customers and visitors promptly and courteously, both in person and over the phone.
  • Listen attentively to inquiries, providing accurate and helpful information or directing them to the appropriate department.
  • Direct customers to the right department, ensuring they are introduced to the correct personnel for further assistance.
  • Introduce customers to salespeople or service representatives as needed.
  • Manage a multi-line phone system, answering calls professionally and routing them to the correct department or individual.
  • Minimize hold times, checking back with customers to ensure they’re comfortable holding.
  • Take messages when necessary and ensure they’re delivered to the right person in a timely manner.
  • Accurately take detailed messages when calls cannot be completed, including customer names, contact information, and inquiries.
  • Deliver messages to the appropriate staff promptly.
  • Build and maintain a strong knowledge of dealership services and operations to respond to common inquiries and assist with general information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 months of related experience or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), particularly using U.S. currency.
  • Ability to handle routine inquiries and manage standard situations with professionalism and common sense.
