About the position

As the Automotive Business Systems Product Owner at Bose, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with business users and external partners to gather and understand their requirements, translating these into actionable Business Systems EPICS, Features, and Stories for your development team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our Business Systems, including ERP and EDI environments, are aligned with the strategic goals of the organization. In this position, you will partner with business leadership to define and articulate the business value of various initiatives, building a prioritized backlog that aligns teams and resources effectively. Your passion for innovation and problem-solving will be essential as you define and build solutions that enhance the customer experience. You will collaborate with scrum teams and IT resources to develop system capabilities and improvements, ensuring that the features you define deliver real value to the business. Your role will also involve planning and tracking quarterly increments of work completed by scrum teams, proactively communicating with stakeholders about feature delivery, and serving as the single point of contact for any business systems-related concerns. You will validate business solutions as they are developed, partner with the business for end-user acceptance testing, and monitor capabilities post-go-live to ensure quality and benefit realization. Your leadership and customer-centric mindset will be key in making a significant impact within the Agile scrum team and the broader organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work with scrum teams and other IT resources to develop systems capabilities and improvements with a focus on the customer experience.
  • Define scope and business value of features.
  • Create user stories for development teams and prioritize the backlog.
  • Collaborate with the ASD, Supply Chain, and IT organizations to develop a capability roadmap in business systems and own the product backlog.
  • Plan and track quarterly IP increments of work done by scrum teams.
  • Communicate proactively to stakeholders about feature delivery and serve as the single point of contact for business systems related concerns or questions.
  • Provide business validation on solutions as they are developed.
  • Partner with the business to ensure end-user acceptance testing.
  • Monitor capabilities post-go-live to ensure quality and benefit realization.

Requirements

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Understanding of agile scrum and related techniques to refine product features.
  • Experience in developing roadmaps and establishing the sequence of backlog items based on program priorities, events, and dependencies with other teams.
  • Familiarity with the Enterprise Backlog Model, including Epics, Capabilities, Features, and Stories, and experience with SAFe.
  • Effective collaboration with external and internal partners.
  • 4-5 years of experience in the Enterprise B2B, especially in the Automotive supplier space.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Experience working on the SAP platform.

  • Experience with EDI implementation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
