About the position

The Automotive Technician plays a crucial role within the automotive service team at Bridgestone Retail Operations. This position focuses on developing foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles while working under the guidance of experienced technicians. The role involves hands-on learning, routine inspections, vehicle assessments, and assisting in repair procedures, all while providing exceptional customer service. It is an opportunity to build a solid foundation in automotive repair and contribute to the team's overall success.

Responsibilities

  • Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
  • Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
  • Install batteries and check electrical systems.
  • Perform tire maintenance.
  • Install parts.
  • Road test vehicles.
  • Learn basic mechanical tasks.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times.
  • Minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience.
  • Completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or demonstrated skills via third party certificates/assessment.
  • A.S.E certification in at least one of A1-A8 is preferred.
  • Reading, writing, and math skills.
