About the position

The Automotive Technician position at Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is a vital role that requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing drivability and electrical systems, ensuring that vehicles are operating at their best. This position not only demands a high level of technical knowledge but also the ability to mentor and lead a team towards enhanced customer care and satisfaction. You will be part of a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact the quality of service provided to customers. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks including changing oil, transmission fluid, and filters, as well as installing batteries and checking electrical systems. Tire maintenance and the installation of parts are also key responsibilities. You will have the opportunity to road test vehicles to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. The position requires a willingness to learn basic mechanical tasks and the ability to adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment. To be successful in this role, you must possess a valid automobile driver's license and have a minimum of 2 years of automotive repair experience. Completion of a Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or demonstrated skills through third-party certifications is essential. While an A.S.E certification in at least one of the A1-A8 categories is preferred, equivalent external qualifications or training certifications will also be considered. The position requires strong reading, writing, and math skills to effectively communicate and perform tasks.
