About the position

As an Automotive Territory Sales Manager for SiriusXM at Apollo Retail, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and expanding our Independent Dealer Sales Program. This position is primarily a remote outside sales role, where you will be responsible for prospecting leads and generating enrolled dealers within your assigned automotive dealership/shop territory. Your primary focus will be on achieving personal sales production expectations, which will be measured through monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. You will be expected to engage in daily tasks that include in-person visits and phone contacts to enroll automotive targeted leads into specific dealership programs across your specified territories, which include Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. In this role, you will act as a liaison between the products and services offered by SiriusXM and your assigned list of automotive dealerships. You will need to maintain an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to log daily dealership activity and key contacts for scheduling and tracking purposes. Your analytical skills will be essential for follow-up and data auditing to ensure that dealership activity is accurate and complete throughout your region. This position may require up to 60% travel within your assigned territory, with occasional overnight stays, depending on the territories and travel distances involved. To succeed in this role, you will need excellent presentation and training skills, as well as a proven track record in both inside and outside sales. Familiarity with the geography of the market you will cover is important, as is having automotive or field marketing experience with a demonstrated history of sales success. You will be expected to project a self-confident and professional image, hold yourself accountable for achieving and exceeding sales quotas, and maintain a positive attitude with a determination to succeed. Your ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and interpersonally, will be key to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in inside and outside sales is preferred.
  • Proven track record of diligence in a remote position.
  • Familiarity with the geography of the market to be covered.
  • Automotive or field marketing experience with a proven track record of sales success.
  • Excellent presentation and training skills.
  • Self-accountability to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
