About the position

As an Automotive Territory Sales Manager for SiriusXM at Apollo Retail, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and expanding our Independent Dealer Sales Program. This position is primarily remote, focusing on outside sales with a strong emphasis on personal sales production. You will be responsible for prospecting leads and generating enrolled dealers within your assigned automotive dealership/shop territory, which includes Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Your role will involve setting and achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, ensuring that you meet the expectations set for personal sales production. Daily tasks will include in-person visits and phone contacts to enroll automotive leads into specific dealership programs. You will act as a liaison between the products and services offered by SiriusXM and a designated list of automotive dealerships. To succeed in this role, you will need to log daily dealership activity and key contacts for scheduling and tracking purposes. Your analytical skills will be essential for follow-up and data auditing to ensure that dealership activity is accurate and complete throughout the region. The position requires a proactive approach to sales, with a focus on building relationships and providing excellent service to our dealer partners. You will need to demonstrate intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to effectively manage your responsibilities and present information to stakeholders. This role may require up to 60% travel within your assigned territory, with occasional overnight stays, depending on the specific needs of the dealerships you are working with.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect leads and generate enrolled dealers within assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in inside and outside sales is preferred.
  • Proven track record of diligence in a remote position.
  • Familiarity with the geography of the market to be covered.
  • Automotive or field marketing experience with a proven track record of sales success.
  • Excellent presentation and training skills.
  • Self-accountability to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude with determination to succeed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in product presence, training, sales incentives, and category management.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
