About the position

At A Glance: The Automotive Independent Dealer Sales Program Territory Manager is a crucial role focused on driving sales and expanding the dealer network for SiriusXM within a designated territory. This position is primarily a remote outside sales role, where the manager will be responsible for prospecting leads and generating enrolled dealers across various automotive dealerships and shops. The role requires a proactive approach to sales, with expectations for personal sales production and the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. The territory includes states such as Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa, and the position may involve up to 60% travel, including occasional overnight stays. Daily tasks for the Territory Manager include conducting in-person visits and making phone contacts to enroll targeted automotive leads into specific dealership programs. The manager will act as a liaison between the products and services offered by SiriusXM and a designated list of automotive dealerships. This role demands intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to log daily dealership activity and key contacts for scheduling and tracking purposes. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for analyzing data, following up with leads, and auditing dealership activity to ensure accuracy and completeness throughout the region. The ideal candidate will possess excellent presentation and training skills, with a preference for those who have both inside and outside sales experience. A proven track record of diligence in a remote position is essential, along with a bachelor's degree and familiarity with the geography of the market to be covered. Experience in automotive or field marketing, along with a history of sales success, will be highly regarded. The candidate should be a team player who projects a self-confident and professional image, demonstrating self-accountability to achieve and exceed sales quotas. Excellent written and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a determination to succeed are critical attributes for this role. The ability and willingness to travel are also necessary, as the position may require significant travel within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect leads and generate enrolled dealers within assigned automotive dealership/shop territory.
  • Conduct in-person visits and phone contacts to enroll automotive targeted leads into dealership programs.
  • Act as a liaison between SiriusXM products and services and assigned automotive dealerships.
  • Log daily dealership activity and key contacts for scheduling and tracking purposes.
  • Analyze, follow-up, and audit data to ensure accurate dealership activity throughout the region.

Requirements

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent presentation and training skills.
  • Inside and outside sales experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of diligence in a remote position.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with the geography of the market to be covered.
