About the position

At A Glance: The Automotive Independent Dealer Sales Program Territory Manager position is primarily a remote outside sales role focused on prospecting leads and generating enrolled dealers within the assigned automotive dealership/shop territory. This role involves personal sales production expectations, with monthly, quarterly, and annual goals that must be met. The position requires up to 60% travel within the assigned territory, which includes states such as Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa, with occasional overnight stays. Daily tasks include in-person visits and phone contacts to enroll automotive targeted leads into specific dealership programs across specified territories. The Territory Manager will act as a liaison between the products and services offered by SiriusXM and an assigned list of automotive dealerships. The ideal candidate will possess intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. They will be responsible for logging daily dealership activity and key contacts for scheduling and tracking purposes. The role also requires strong analytical skills for follow-up and data auditing to ensure that dealership activity is accurate and complete throughout the region. The candidate should have excellent presentation and training skills, as well as a proven track record in both inside and outside sales. Familiarity with the geography of the market to be covered is essential, along with automotive or field marketing experience and a history of sales success. The position demands a self-accountable individual who can achieve and exceed sales quotas while maintaining a positive attitude and determination to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect leads and generate enrolled dealers within assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Excellent presentation and training skills.
  • Inside and outside sales experience preferred.
  • Proven track record for diligence in a remote position.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with the geography of the market to be covered.
  • Automotive or field marketing experience with a proven track record of sales success.
  • Self-accountability to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude with determination to succeed.
  • Experience in product presence, training, sales incentives, and category management.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory.
