About the position

The Automotive Territory Sales Manager position at SiriusXM is primarily a remote outside sales role focused on managing the Automotive Independent Dealer Sales Program. The main responsibilities include prospecting leads and generating enrolled dealers within the assigned automotive dealership/shop territory, which encompasses Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. This position requires a proactive approach to sales, with expectations for personal sales production and the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. Daily tasks involve in-person visits and phone contacts to enroll automotive targeted leads into specific dealership programs. The Territory Sales Manager will act as a liaison between the products and services offered by SiriusXM and a designated list of automotive dealerships. This role demands intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to log daily dealership activity and key contacts for scheduling and tracking purposes. Additionally, the manager will need to perform analysis, follow-up, and data auditing to ensure that dealership activity is accurate and complete throughout the region. The position also requires excellent presentation and training skills, as well as a proven track record in both inside and outside sales. Familiarity with the geography of the market is essential, along with automotive or field marketing experience that demonstrates sales success. The ideal candidate will be a team player who projects a self-confident and professional image, with a strong sense of self-accountability to achieve and exceed sales quotas. Excellent written and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a determination to succeed are crucial for this role. The ability and willingness to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory is also a key requirement, as travel distances may vary, and flight travel might not be necessary for many territories depending on the candidate's location.

Responsibilities

Requirements
