About the position

At A Glance: The Automotive Independent Dealer Sales Program Territory Manager is a key role focused on driving sales and building relationships with automotive dealerships within a specified territory. This position is primarily a remote outside sales role, where the manager will be responsible for prospecting leads and generating enrolled dealers across Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. The role includes personal sales production expectations, with monthly, quarterly, and annual goals that must be met. The Territory Manager will engage in daily tasks that involve in-person visits and phone contacts to enroll automotive targeted leads into specific dealership programs offered by SiriusXM. The position requires an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to log daily dealership activity and key contacts for scheduling and tracking purposes. The Territory Manager will act as a liaison between the products and services offered by SiriusXM and the assigned list of automotive dealerships. This role demands strong analytical skills for follow-up and data auditing to ensure that dealership activity is accurate and complete throughout the region. The Territory Manager will also need to be self-accountable, demonstrating a positive attitude and determination to succeed. The ability and willingness to travel is essential, as this position can involve up to 60% travel within the assigned territory, with occasional overnight stays. The role is designed for a team player who can project a self-confident and professional image while achieving and exceeding sales quotas.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting leads and generating enrolled dealers within assigned automotive dealership/shop territory.
  • Conducting in-person visits and phone contacts to enroll automotive targeted leads into dealership programs.
  • Acting as a liaison between SiriusXM products and services and assigned automotive dealerships.
  • Logging daily dealership activity and key contacts for scheduling and tracking purposes.
  • Performing analysis, follow-up, and data auditing to ensure accurate dealership activity throughout the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in inside and outside sales is preferred.
  • Proven track record of diligence in a remote position.
  • Familiarity with the geography of the market to be covered.
  • Automotive or field marketing experience with a proven track record of sales success.
  • Excellent presentation and training skills.
  • Self-accountability to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude with determination to succeed.
  • Experience in product presence, training, sales incentives, and category management.
