About the position

The Automotive Territory Sales Manager position at SiriusXM is primarily a remote outside sales role focused on managing the Automotive Independent Dealer Sales Program. The main responsibility of this position is to prospect leads and generate enrolled dealers within the assigned automotive dealership/shop territory, which includes states such as Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. The role requires a proactive approach to sales, with expectations for personal sales production and the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. In this position, the Territory Sales Manager will engage in daily tasks that include in-person visits and phone contacts to enroll automotive targeted leads into specific dealership programs. The individual will act as a liaison between the products and services offered by SiriusXM and a designated list of automotive dealerships. This role demands a strong understanding of the market geography and the ability to log daily dealership activity, key contacts, and track progress to ensure accurate and complete dealership activity throughout the region. The position also requires intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to facilitate effective communication and reporting. The Territory Sales Manager will need to demonstrate excellent presentation and training skills, as well as a proven track record in both inside and outside sales. A bachelor's degree is preferred, along with automotive or field marketing experience that showcases sales success. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a self-confident and professional image, capable of self-accountability to achieve and exceed sales quotas. A positive attitude and determination to succeed are essential traits for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect leads and generate enrolled dealers within assigned territory.
  • Conduct in-person visits and phone contacts to enroll automotive targeted leads into dealership programs.
  • Act as a liaison between SiriusXM products and services and assigned automotive dealerships.
  • Log daily dealership activity and key contacts for scheduling and tracking purposes.
  • Analyze, follow-up, and audit data to ensure accurate dealership activity throughout the region.

Requirements

  • Excellent presentation and training skills.
  • Inside and outside sales experience is preferred.
  • Proven track record for diligence in a remote position.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with the geography of the market to be covered.
  • Automotive or field marketing experience with a proven track record of sales success.
  • Self-accountability to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude with determination to succeed.
  • Experience in product presence, training, sales incentives, and category management.
