About the position

The Automotive Territory Sales Manager is responsible for managing the Automotive Independent Dealer Sales Program within a designated territory. This role focuses on prospecting leads, generating enrolled dealers, and achieving sales production goals through both in-person and remote sales efforts. The position requires strong sales skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to building relationships with automotive dealerships.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect leads and generate enrolled dealers within assigned territory.
  • Conduct in-person visits and phone contacts to enroll automotive leads into dealership programs.
  • Act as a liaison between SiriusXM products and services and assigned automotive dealerships.
  • Log daily dealership activity and key contacts for scheduling and tracking purposes.
  • Analyze and follow up on dealership activity to ensure accuracy and completeness throughout the region.

Requirements

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in inside and outside sales, preferably in the automotive or field marketing sector.
  • Proven track record of sales success and diligence in a remote position.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and training skills.
  • Strong phone skills and ability to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with the geography of the market to be covered.
  • Experience in product presence, training, sales incentives, and category management.
