About the position

As an Automotive Territory Sales Manager for SiriusXM at Apollo Retail, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and expanding our Independent Dealer Sales Program. This position is primarily a remote outside sales role, where you will be responsible for prospecting leads and generating enrolled dealers within your assigned automotive dealership/shop territory. Your main focus will be on achieving personal sales production expectations, which include meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. You will be expected to travel up to 60% within your territory, which encompasses Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa, with occasional overnight stays required. Your daily tasks will involve in-person visits and phone contacts to enroll automotive targeted leads into specific dealership programs. You will act as a liaison between the products and services offered by SiriusXM and a designated list of automotive dealerships. To succeed in this role, you will need to log daily dealership activity and key contacts for scheduling and tracking purposes. Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing, following up, and auditing data to ensure that dealership activity is accurate and complete throughout your region. To excel in this position, you should possess intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent presentation and training skills are essential, along with a proven track record in both inside and outside sales. Familiarity with the geography of your market and automotive or field marketing experience will be beneficial. You should be a self-accountable team player with a professional image and a positive attitude, determined to succeed in achieving and exceeding sales quotas. Strong written and interpersonal skills are also necessary for effective communication with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven track record in inside and outside sales experience.

  • Familiarity with the geography of the market to be covered.
  • Automotive or field marketing experience with a proven track record of sales success.
