About the position
This is a contract position with Honda R&D in Ohio, USA. Lumenance will sponsor the necessary work visa for any selected candidate. The role involves applying engineering principles, experiences, and various analysis tools to develop test plans and procedures to test design parts and components in the area of specialty. The goal is to determine design feasibility and ensure parts and components meet design acceptance criteria, performance level targets, and any applicable regulatory/internal standards. Responsibilities include creating data settings, test specifications/standards, and test schedules, preparing and setting up test equipment, conducting moderately complex tests, and documenting the results. The position also requires summarizing test results and conclusions, verifying testing accuracy, and determining if additional testing is needed. Analyzing and interpreting test results to predict performance or failure, providing required product/design data, identifying issues, developing countermeasures, and communicating test results clearly in written reports and formal presentations are also key aspects of the role.
Responsibilities
- Applies engineering principles and analysis tools to develop test plans/procedures.

Requirements
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Electrical Engineering (EE).
- 6 years of related experience may be substituted for the required degree.
- Over 5 years of test engineering experience in required test and confirmation per area of specialty.
