The Advance Driver Assistance Technology (ADAS) team is at the forefront of this innovation, delivering best-in-class features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and 360 camera systems. Our team has secured over 60 patents, including the industry-first Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, and is responsible for the complete end-to-end delivery of these features across all Ford vehicle lines. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise in self-driving technologies and robotics systems to integrate and test prototype software functionalities on production vehicle platforms. Your contributions will be crucial in shipping production-level software for the next generation of Level 2 autonomous solutions within Ford's vehicle lineup. You will design and execute comprehensive test plans to validate ADAS software modules and hardware systems, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You will also be responsible for developing software to optimize system performance and improve fleet infrastructure, as well as maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance test efficiency and coverage. Analyzing test results, diagnosing issues, and collaborating with engineering teams to resolve problems will be key aspects of your role. Staying current with the latest autonomous driving technologies and testing methodologies will enable you to contribute to the development of robust test processes and procedures, ensuring that Ford remains a leader in automotive innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans to validate the ADAS software modules and hardware systems
  • Integrate and deploy the ADAS software to the production vehicle platforms
  • Develop software to optimize the system performance and improve the fleet infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage
  • Analyze test results, identify and diagnose issues, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve problems
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest autonomous driving technologies and testing methodologies, and contribute to the development of robust test processes and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields
  • 1 year of software development experience using C++
  • 1 year of experience with Linux development and bash scripting

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields
  • 2+ years of experience in test and integration engineering
  • Experience with ADAS technologies such as autonomous driving software architecture, sensors, networking, compute hardware, control systems
  • Experience with UDP, TCP, CAN and network routing
  • Experience with software development tools such as build systems, containers, source control etc.
  • Experience with software for real-time or safety-critical systems
  • Experience with agile software development and testing methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
