Auxiliary Operator

About the position

As an Auxiliary Operator at Reworld, you will collaborate with the facility control room to operate and inspect various power plant systems, ensuring the operational effectiveness of the industrial disposal process. This labor-intensive role offers opportunities for advancement and requires adherence to safety protocols while managing heavy industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety operating procedures, including boilers and air pollution control systems.
• Monitor and inspect various boiler plant auxiliary equipment such as pumps, motors, and valves.
• Read and interpret data from meters and gauges to identify trends and potential equipment disruptions.
• Monitor air pollution control equipment.
• Perform material sampling, chemistry testing, and treatment of water as required.
• Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment like cranes and forklifts.
• Maintain correct levels of refuse-fuel in operations equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass respiratory fit tests daily.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
