About the position

The AV (Audio Video) Operations Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining audio/video systems in various settings, including conference rooms and public spaces. This role involves troubleshooting, deploying, and ensuring the functionality of AV equipment, as well as providing first-line support for web conferencing applications. The engineer will conduct regular preventative checks and maintain high standards for all AV equipment, ensuring seamless operation for onsite, remote, and hybrid meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Support and set up Audio/Video systems for small to large rooms including public spaces.
  • Support web conferencing applications for onsite, remote, and hybrid meetings (i.e. Zoom, Teams).
  • Set up, troubleshoot, deploy, and maintain hardware and software for enterprise.
  • Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedure.
  • Report all faults in a timely manner and ensure proactive maintenance.
  • Provide first-line support, including on-the-spot diagnosis and rectification of minor faults.
  • Maintain multimedia/presentation rooms in good working order.
  • Perform maintenance visits and provide ongoing technical support to colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, management, and customers.
  • Create and update tickets for incidents and help requests from end-users.
  • Prioritize and schedule tickets and resolutions.
  • Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends to prevent future problems.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on installations and resolve issues in collaboration with the AV integration team and project manager.
  • Responsible for fault finding and technical resolution during the commissioning phase.

Requirements

  • Proficient in audio/video technology and systems.
  • Experience in supporting and setting up AV systems for various room sizes.
  • Knowledge of web conferencing applications like Zoom and Teams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain hardware and software for enterprise environments.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with peers and customers.
  • Experience in creating and managing support tickets.

  • Experience with AV integration and project management.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level AV systems and solutions.
