About the position

The Certification Technician at RoomReady plays a crucial role in ensuring that installed audiovisual systems meet the company's standards and specifications. This position involves both remote and in-person assessments of system performance, quality control of room deployments, and reviewing certification reports from field technicians. The role requires a strong understanding of AV systems and some travel is expected, with overnight travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Remote or in-person verification of system performance to ensure all aspects of the scope of work are met.
• Quality control of room deployments to ensure every system is configured to RoomReady standards.
• Review and critique certification reports completed by field technicians.
• Provide installation support to field technicians, including assistance loading and adjusting DSP configurations, loading and debugging control system programming, configuring network settings, and troubleshooting issues with equipment configuration.
• Perform and record test calls to document complete system operation.
• Participate in client trainings.
• Resolve customer problems or concerns relating to installations promptly.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge and experience installing and troubleshooting AV system installations.
• Knowledge of the technical aspects of audiovisual and UC systems, including collaboration systems utilizing Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and Zoom Rooms.
• Understanding of networking, VLAN configuration, multicast traffic, and POE variations.
• Outstanding follow-up and follow-through skills.
