About the position

The Audio Visual Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the upkeep, functionality, and seamless operation of all audio-visual hardware across various locations. This role requires hands-on experience with AV systems and a technical background to diagnose and resolve issues effectively. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of AV technologies, including sound, video, control systems, and networked AV equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of audio-visual systems, including projectors, sound systems, video conferencing hardware, control systems, and networking equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and testing of AV hardware as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify any potential issues.
• Maintain detailed records of service calls, maintenance schedules, and equipment inventories.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve system functionality and user experience.
• Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and industry trends to recommend system upgrades or enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, AV Technology, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in AV hardware maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron), video conferencing platforms, and networked AV solutions.
• Solid background in technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in AV technology (e.g., CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D) is a plus.
