About the position

The AV IT Engineer I at Dartmouth College is responsible for implementing and maintaining audiovisual IT solutions that enhance teaching, learning, and collaboration. Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and support for AV IT solutions.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for AV projects.
• Engineer and implement advanced audiovisual IT projects.

Requirements

• Associate's degree with 13 or more years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven experience in AV system design, implementation, and management within an educational or similar complex environment.
• Strong technical proficiency in AV control systems such as Crestron, AMX, or Extron.
• Extensive knowledge of IT network systems and the ability to integrate AV over IP.
• Robust project management skills and experience with IT project management methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced certifications in AV technologies (e.g., QSC Level II, Dante Level III, AVIXA CTS, CTSD, or CTSI).
• In-depth knowledge of audio DSP, system configuration programming, and familiarity with educational technology trends.
• Experience with ITSM tools and methodologies and programming in multiple languages.
