The Linux Systems Administrator, Journeyman position at COLSA Corporation involves supporting Linux administration efforts for the Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) under the Enterprise Information Technology Support Services (EITSS) contract. The role focuses on servicing Help Desk tickets, assisting with system testing and administration, and performing user account maintenance. Responsibilities

• Service user submitted Help Desk tickets.
• Assist senior team members with testing and administrating systems.
• Perform user account maintenance actions including creating, removing, or updating user accounts, permissions, and group memberships.
• Utilize Red Hat Identity Management system with interactions with Windows Active Directory.
• Build or rebuild Linux systems using preconfigured Linux operating system images.
• Configure Linux network settings.
• Install or update Linux operating system and application software.
• Perform general troubleshooting of reported errors.

Requirements

• Experience with Linux system administration, particularly with Red Hat.
• Familiarity with Windows Active Directory.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Experience with user account management and permissions.
