About the position

The AV Production Manager is responsible for overseeing audio/visual production to enhance guest experiences within the Resch Complex. This role involves managing a team of control room staff, ensuring high-quality event production, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing new technologies. The position requires strong leadership and customer service skills to maintain client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, hire/terminate, and supervise part-time staff in the control room.
  • Serve as the producer/engineer in charge for events utilizing the control room for video production.
  • Supervise a full-time Digital AV Coordinator responsible for video display content management.
  • Provide high levels of customer service to all end-users and develop strong working relationships to increase client satisfaction.
  • Operate and service various audio/visual/scoring equipment including video switchers, replay systems, graphics, cameras, and audio mixing boards.
  • Design graphics and create video templates for scoreboard/LED boards.
  • Utilize software for necessary video edits and load video spots, music, and graphics into systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems, making repairs or authorizing repairs as needed.
  • Create an annual budget for audio/video needs throughout the complex and recommend upgrades to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with clients on the integration and functionality of AV equipment for live events and meetings.
  • Verify audio/video signals and assist external television crews with in-house systems for video, audio, and scoring data.
  • Ensure building sponsors' video content is run per contracts and contribute to the development of processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or associate degree with 2-4 years of experience in audio/visual production or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of IP networking architecture.
  • Working knowledge of DMX protocol and lighting systems such as ETC Mosaic and ETC Paradigm is a bonus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Daktronics LED displays, Ross video switcher, Xpression CG software, Ross Ultrix Routing Platform, Evertz Dreamcatcher Platform, Q-Sys Ecosystem, and Dante Domain Manager.
  • Familiarity with industry standard A/V connectors and hardware terminology (e.g., XLR, BNC, ST, LC Fiber, Dante Audio, QLAN).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud is required; knowledge of AutoCad is a bonus.
  • Analytical skills and technical thinking necessary for troubleshooting equipment problems.

  • Dante Level 1 certification is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of AutoCad software is a bonus.
