About the position

The AV Systems Engineer at Zurich North America will support the development and integration of AV services, primarily working from the Schaumburg, IL headquarters. This role involves managing access and roles for AV platforms, collaborating with internal communications to deliver messages via digital signage, and developing digital templates within the Appspace platform. The engineer will also monitor and repair AV equipment, automate processes, and integrate services with APIs, all while fostering innovation and customer-centric solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage access, roles and hierarchy associated with critical AV platforms.
• Work with internal communications partners to deliver key messages to HQ and remote office staff via digital signage.
• Develop digital templates and connectors within the Appspace platform.
• Work closely with AV team to monitor, diagnose, and repair AV equipment.
• Script and automate processes supporting deployments and updates.
• Integrate services with APIs.
• Build and maintain close working relationships with peers and stakeholders as appropriate.
• Constantly seek to innovate and improve and gain exposure to methods, techniques, and solutions.
• Propose potential new initiatives or areas for improvement.
• Demonstrate a lean thinking, innovative attitude that strives for customer centricity.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree and 0 or more years of experience in the information technology, security awareness and education development or communications area
• OR Zurich Certified Apprentice, including Association Degree and 0 or more years of experience in the information technology, security awareness and education development or communications area
• OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years experience in information technology, security awareness and education development or communications area

Nice-to-haves

• Audio knowledge such as QSC hardware
• Q-Sys certification or CTS
• Knowledge of AV/smart device environment and system integrations
• Prior work with data management and report building
• Experience with integrations/API calls
• Understanding of M365 data environment
• Appspace highly preferred
