About the position

The AV Technician II at Steptoe LLP is responsible for providing hands-on audio-visual (AV) support and level 1 technical assistance. This role involves collaborating with the Epiq Site Manager to ensure smooth operation of conference room technology, resolving technical issues, and supporting the Technology Center in a Windows 11 environment. The technician will set up and maintain AV equipment for events, assist with virtual meetings, and document incidents for future reference.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and takes down equipment for events hosted in the conference rooms.
  • Operates, maintains, repairs, and adjusts AV equipment including lapel microphones, handheld microphones, wall-mounted cameras/speakers, and Crestron panel technology.
  • Sets up WebEx, Zoom, and Teams meetings hosted in conference rooms.
  • Resolves AV and level 1 deskside support incidents during the first contact and escalates as necessary.
  • Documents incident status and solutions in Service Now tickets and Knowledge Base articles.
  • Works with outside vendors for maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Advises on the use, limitations, design, and construction of instruments and equipment.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • AV industry certifications a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of AV support experience required.
  • Law Firm/Professional Services experience a plus.
