About the position

The AV/VTC Operations Specialist is a critical role responsible for ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the organization. This position involves setting up, operating, and maintaining audio-visual (AV) equipment and video teleconferencing (VTC) systems for various events, while providing on-site support to facilitate agency events with a focus on professionalism and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain AV equipment and VTC systems for meetings, conferences, and presentations.
  • Provide on-site support in facilitating and preparing for agency events.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the conferencing center and AV/VTC operations.
  • Schedule and coordinate all requirements in advance of events to prevent disruptions.
  • Facilitate and assist presenters and customers with training and equipment requirements.
  • Configure conference room layouts and assist customers in integrating their presentations.
  • Set up auxiliary equipment such as flip charts, whiteboards, and teleconference phones.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance Required
  • 3-5 years of experience in AV/VTC operations, preferably in government environments
  • Strong knowledge of AV equipment operation and maintenance
  • Experience with relevant software applications for AV/VTC management
  • Strong technical support and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Understanding of AV/VTC industry trends and best practices
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and network systems preferred
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant certifications such as CTS, CCNA, or CompTIA A+ preferred
