About the position

The Avaya/Telecom Coordinator position is a hybrid role based in Orlando, focusing on managing and implementing communication projects related to voice and data systems. The role involves coordinating requests, recommending technical solutions, and performing system administration for various telecommunication technologies. This position is contract-to-hire, offering a competitive hourly wage with medical benefits.

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes all voice and data requests.
• Plans, coordinates, and implements communication projects including software, hardware, and voice data infrastructure cabling.
• Recommends, designs, and implements technical solutions including call management systems and computer telephony integration (CTI) technology.
• Performs communication systems administration including call center applications and internet protocol (IP) telephony.
• Obtains cost estimates for installations, changes, and communication repairs.
• Tracks information related to service order requests, programming changes, and inventory utilization.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Three years of experience supporting converged private branch exchange (PBX) and Voice Mail networks.
• Ability to program and support PBX, automatic call distribution (ACD), VoIP, and voice messaging systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Avaya Communication Manager.
• Experience with Avaya Call Center Technology including Avaya One-X software.
• Experience with Avaya voicemail (Aura Messaging).
• Experience with Avaya IP Telephony.
• Experience with Avaya Call Recording applications.
• Experience working with Telecommunication to establish new circuits and verify billing.
• Knowledge of wiring and cabling terminology.
