About the position

The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of AVEVA solutions, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role includes mentoring junior staff and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the organization's IT goals.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement server solutions to support business operations, including virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Monitor system performance and resource utilization, implementing optimizations as needed.
• Implement and maintain security measures, including patches, updates, and compliance with organizational policies.
• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for hardware, software, and networking issues, resolving incidents in a timely manner.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Provide guidance and training to junior systems administrators and other IT staff.
• Work closely with other IT teams and stakeholders to support projects and initiatives.
• Develop and execute a strategy and roadmap for AVEVA applications.
• Ensure that AVEVA integrates with other enterprise systems, such as GIS and SAP.
• Take ownership of a specific AVEVA solution offering.
• Design the end-to-end work process and integrate AVEVA with other systems.
• Support the migration of existing products for modernization and upgrades working with Cybersecurity groups.
• Implement Data and Software solutions in the cloud (AWS or Azure).
• Integrate AVEVA/Autodesk products with other software platforms such as Document Management Systems, SAP, GIS.

Requirements

• 15 years of experience as a Systems Administrator, with a strong focus on AVEVA.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
