About the position

As an Aviation Facilities & Infrastructure Engineer I - Civil, you will play a crucial role in supporting Facilities & Infrastructure functions by working on various projects. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and implementing facility-wide systems, developing compliance and incident response strategies, and supporting asset management functions. You will also be involved in creating preventative maintenance programs, developing design guidelines, and conducting construction administration for small capital projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, plan, and implement facility-wide systems at the infrastructure level.
  • Develop compliance and incident response for small systems and assist in maintaining and updating software applications.
  • Support asset management functions and the development of renewal and replacement projects for civil systems.
  • Develop requirements and planning studies, perform risk analysis, and create contingency plans for unexpected problems.
  • Create preventative maintenance programs for civil infrastructure and systems to maintain aviation operations.
  • Develop design guidelines and standards for facility and infrastructure and integrate new methods and technologies.
  • Sponsor small capital projects to support the comprehensive infrastructure plan and implement design vision.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure program schedules align with life cycle expectancy of systems and sustainability goals.
  • Prepare and review basic drawings, presentations, and visual aids for capital and infrastructure renewal/replacement projects.
  • Conduct construction administration of small capital job programs including submittals, RFIs, site observation, and construction meetings.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of experience with facility design using CAD and/or BIM.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering may substitute for four (4) years of experience.
  • Possess Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Adobe skills.
  • Ability to perform design tasks such as modeling/drafting concepts and collecting measurements and data for system models.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and active listening communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) designation.
