About the position

The Aviation Intern position at Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is designed for students pursuing a degree in engineering. The intern will engage in various tasks and projects that will enhance their experience in the engineering industry, applying their educational background to real-world scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Make edits and updates to existing engineering drawings and projects
• Provide input on solutions to problems using basic theories and engineering fundamentals
• Assist with layout and design of routine small and medium-sized engineering projects
• Develop and prepare specifications
• Develop project quantities and cost estimates
• Maintain accurate and current project documentation
• Occasional site visits or field work to enhance experience
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Full time student in engineering with 2-3 years of coursework (rising Junior or Senior)

Nice-to-haves

• Coursework in Civil Engineering
• CADD experience in MicroStation or AutoCad
• Previous internship experience
