About the position

The Aviation MX Tech/Lin position at FedEx involves providing safe and efficient maintenance for aircraft, including repairs, engine runs, taxiing, and troubleshooting at various maintenance locations. The role requires executing both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks in accordance with manuals, ensuring minimal delays and cancellations. The technician will also be responsible for communicating exceptions, creating accurate write-ups, and accepting daily work release plans when no manager is present.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient maintenance, including repair, engine run, taxi, and troubleshooting of aircraft.
• Execute planned and unplanned maintenance tasks in accordance with appropriate manuals.
• Communicate exceptions as they occur and create accurate write-ups in a timely manner.
• Accept the daily work release plan when no manager or lead is onsite.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Current A&P Licenses required.
• Valid non-restricted driver's license from the state of residence.
• Thirty-six (36) months of aircraft maintenance experience on turbine powered aircraft that exceed 12500 lbs. MEW.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to determine aircraft system failures and troubleshoot repairs.
• Ability to use test equipment and interpret A/C manuals.
• Ability to attain engine run and taxi certifications as directed.
• Ability to complete all aircraft parts replacement procedures.
• Sufficient computer skills to access and complete electronic AML procedures and computer-based training modules.
