About the position
Kimley-Horn is seeking Planning students to join their Lehi, Utah office. This position focuses on pre-construction planning, permitting, and analysis for various projects, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in the field of planning while collaborating with project managers and other disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the pre-construction planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
- Solve complex problems and assist project managers in project execution.
- Collaborate across disciplines to produce clients' visions for the built environment.
- Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and clients' practices, procedures, and standards.
- Evaluate development proposals for compliance with zoning regulations.
- Prepare planning and land use studies.
- Coordinate with various municipal and state agencies.
Requirements
- In the process of receiving a Planning Degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited program in City and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, or other related major.
