About the position

The Aviation Project Manager / Office Leader at Garver will oversee a variety of aviation-related business development, design, planning, project administration, and client management services for commercial service and general aviation airports. This role is crucial for expanding industry relationships and ensuring successful project execution in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and business development to create and expand industry relationships.
• Pursue and win engineering and planning projects at commercial service and general aviation airports.
• Manage projects and clients for both horizontal and vertical design projects at airports.
• Provide significant design and construction oversight for multiple clients.
• Collaborate and coordinate with multi-discipline design teams, including engineers, planners, and technicians.
• Coordinate with clients and funding agencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 10-20+ years of total experience in civil engineering.
• 6-8+ years of experience specifically in civil engineering for airport clients.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Louisiana.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Knowledge of design software packages such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience managing a multi-disciplined team overseeing airport improvement project execution.
• Established relationships and knowledge of the Louisiana aviation market, including commercial service and general aviation airports.
• Licensed pilot or other aviation-related experience.
