About the position
The Aviation Security Cargo Clearance Agent at Federal Express Corporation is responsible for ensuring the safe and secure movement of cargo shipments through various aviation facilities. This role involves intercepting, analyzing, and investigating packages to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and aviation security regulations. The agent plays a crucial role in preventing unauthorized access and mitigating potential risks to cargo shipments and aircraft movement.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and secure movement of cargo shipments through warehouses, airports, and other aviation facilities.
- Maintain and enforce aviation security regulations to prevent unauthorized access and mitigate potential risks.
- Intercept, analyze, research, and investigate domestic and international packages of interest to ensure regulatory compliance and cargo security.
- Analyze shipments using cargo screening equipment to ensure safe and compliant shipment movement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent education.
- Two years of experience in law enforcement, military, security, or as a Ramp Agent, Sr. International Doc Agent, or similar role.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) procedures relating to regulatory and aviation security.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software used for cargo clearance and documentation.
