About the position

The Aviation Systems / Web Applications Test Engineer 1 is responsible for supporting the testing of sophisticated avionics systems and applications. This role involves system testing support for aviation applications, ensuring that software meets established requirements through regression testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of issues. The engineer will collaborate with internal development teams and utilize engineering tools to enhance testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Provides system testing support for one or more Web and Mobile Applications according to system test processes
• Performs system regression testing for software according to system test processes
• Provides clear documentation of testing completed, including observations of issues observed during testing
• Troubleshoot and identify root cause of system failures and clearly documents required fixes
• Coordinates with internal development teams on issues reported
• Learns how to use engineering tools

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
• Demonstrates working knowledge of avionics integrated functions and tools used for system testing
• Demonstrates the capability to perform basic troubleshooting & debugging

Nice-to-haves

• Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
• Previous work or internship experience working on consumer or aviation products
• Pilot's license
• Demonstrates working knowledge of web and mobile application integration and tools used for system testing
• Experience in scripting or programming, with skills in Python, Selenium, or Appium
• Strong data analysis skills
