About the position
The Avionics Bench Technician position at First Class Air Repair involves testing, measuring, and recording acceptance of electrical and electronic aircraft components. The role is essential for ensuring the functionality and safety of avionics units, requiring a detail-oriented individual who can troubleshoot and repair down to the component level.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair avionic units down to the component level on circuit boards.
- Perform testing, measuring, and recording for acceptance of electrical and electronic aircraft components.
- Read and follow detailed work instructions and interpret technical documents, including electronic schematics.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in soldering is required.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, AC/DC power supplies, and voltage/current probes.
Nice-to-haves
- Associate's degree in electronic engineering technology or electromechanical engineering preferred.
- Equivalent military experience and coursework or 4 years of relative industry experience preferred.
