About the position

The Senior Avionics Integration Engineer at Odyssey Systems Consulting Group will support the Helicopter Program Office (HPO) at Wright Patterson AFB, focusing on the integration and deployment of advanced rotary wing avionics systems for military helicopters. This role involves a variety of engineering activities, including design, development, testing, and compliance with safety and certification standards, ensuring the effective operation of systems like tactical data links and embedded computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of rotary wing avionics engineering activities and support design, development, manufacturing, integration, test, and deployment of airborne weapon systems.
• Support anti-tamper compliance and Information Assurance (IA) Assessment & Authorization (A&A) personnel and processes.
• Produce artifacts for systems integration, OSS&E, airworthiness certification, and safety per relevant military standards.
• Serve as a rotary wing avionics systems integration engineer with emphasis on tactical data link systems and other communication systems.
• Communicate with other engineering functions including structures, crew systems, EMI, and Reliability & Maintainability (R&M).
• Support information management certification and accreditation, including development of IA controls and risk mitigation strategies.
• Assist with FCA, PCA, aircraft and simulator certifications, and technical evaluation of contractor efforts.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• Clearance: Secret.
• Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, five years of which must be in the DoD, or an ABET accredited Bachelor's Degree in engineering and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, five of which must be in the DoD.
