About the position

As the AVP, Analytics Engineering at PURE Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development of data models and schemas that are essential for analytical purposes. This position is part of a centralized Data & ML/AI department that is actively investing in enhancing our data, analytics, data science, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. You will manage a team dedicated to ensuring that data is accessible, well-documented, and ready for analysis across the organization. Your leadership will be crucial in shaping the roadmap toward achieving data democratization across all departments, allowing for a more data-driven decision-making process. In this role, you will collaborate closely with analysts and stakeholders to meet their data reporting and advanced ML/AI modeling needs. You will be responsible for ensuring data quality and consistency, which is vital for maintaining the integrity of our analytics efforts. Additionally, you will create and manage comprehensive data documentation and metadata, which will serve as a valuable resource for the entire organization. Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of data models and schemas.
• Own the roadmap toward achieving data democratization across all departments.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to meet data reporting and advanced ML/AI modeling needs.
• Ensure data quality and consistency.
• Create and manage data documentation and metadata.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 10 years of experience in analytics engineering or data analytics or data engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience within the P&C insurance industry.
• Proven experience managing high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
