About the position

The AVP Banking Center Manager is responsible for effectively managing the banking center, providing leadership, and ensuring high levels of accountability among team members. This role involves cultivating positive relationships with peers, business partners, and the community while leading business development efforts and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage branch staff, including daily supervision, interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisals, and separations of direct reports.
  • Lead and engage associates in daily huddles to support relationship-building activities.
  • Generate growth that supports the bank's goals by retaining, growing, and attracting clients.
  • Cultivate professional relationships with customers and engage them in meaningful conversations to uncover needs and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Ensure engagement in community activities to demonstrate community involvement and support, facilitating Bank branding and promoting business development.
  • Model and coach daily activities, including opportunity spotting, client relationship building, and lobby management.
  • Facilitate and process account transactions accurately and efficiently to minimize errors and reduce fraud.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the banking center, executing strategic and tactical plans for operational performance.
  • Proactively resolve client concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain responsibility for banking center security and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Ensure effective communication with banking center team members and regional leadership.
  • Identify and recruit talent to build a highly effective team.
  • Model and champion the Bank's standards for exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate work experience required.
  • 1+ year retail client service and/or business development experience required.
  • 1+ year business development management/leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven achievement of business growth goals and financial targets required.
  • Experience managing, leading, and coaching professionals required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of bank products/services and regulations required.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • NMLS required.
