About the position

The AVP, Consumer Engagement - Digital Acquisition Marketing role at Synchrony is focused on implementing digital marketing strategies to drive new account growth for the Verizon credit card portfolio. This position involves leading a test-and-learn digital acquisition curriculum and collaborating closely with the client marketing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about digital innovation and customer experiences, with a strong background in digital marketing, particularly in the context of general purpose or cobrand cards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute digital acquisition strategy through partner channels including Purchase Path (Apply & Buy).
  • Integrate deep digital marketing within partners' domains, mobile apps, and CRM journeys, as well as display media, social, and paid search experiences.
  • Implement A/B testing plans, segmentation, and personalization strategies to enhance response rates.
  • Lead necessary reviews and maintain focus on major risk areas such as Fair Lending and UDAAP compliance.
  • Manage all digital acquisition Workfront processes including project briefs, workbook requirements, and creative reviews.
  • Proactively identify and escalate issues while seeking solutions.
  • Monitor and measure performance of digital marketing campaigns against plans.
  • Support broader Consumer Engagement team on marketing projects across the customer journey.
  • Create enterprise-wide digital acquisition best practices and share through centralized campaign strategies.
  • Assist in digital acquisition forecasting and leadership presentation material creation.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or high school diploma/GED with 9+ years of Digital Marketing experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital platform management and/or marketing, with web, email, and mobile experience.
  • Proficiency in marketing management software like Workfront or similar tools.
  • Analytics experience with skills in analytic dashboards and tracking, including tracking code implementation and data analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or Technology.
  • Prior experience with Senior Leadership or Senior Management roles.
  • Detail-oriented with experience in fast-paced environments.
  • Digital marketing experience in areas such as domain integration, mobile apps, and CRM journeys.
  • Experience in cobrand credit card marketing, digital technology platforms, and financial services.
