About the position

Revantage is seeking a Data Architect/Modeler to work across a range of business-critical product initiatives by reviewing and improving the current data implementation as well as developing data models using a variety of canonical techniques and industry best practices. These products will generally be high visibility and high impact in nature. This position will be based out of Dallas. The Data Architect/Modeler will play a crucial role in guiding the architecture direction for new data implementations or updating existing data structures. This role requires collaboration with global counterparts to ensure uniformity and adherence to best standards of deliverables across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture and modeling, with a focus on creating efficient and scalable data solutions that meet the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Work across a range of product initiatives requiring guidance in data architecture and implementation.
  • Review architecture direction for new data implementation or updating of existing data structures.
  • Collaborate closely with global counterparts to ensure the uniformity and best standards of deliverables across the organization.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Math or comparable experience
  • Minimum 7 years experience in data architecture and modeling
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ELT/ETL practices and BI
  • Extensive experience with one or more OLTP platforms, such as SQL Server
  • Experience with OLAP systems (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift or Synapse)
  • Solid understanding of modeling techniques, e.g. 3NF, dimensional
  • Experience in data modeling principles, including logical and physical data models
  • High level of literacy in building ER diagrams and writing SQL queries
  • Understanding of data formats, data partitioning, row- and columnar storage
  • Strong communication skills to capture ideas and to deliver design artifacts

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior cloud experience with Azure (preferably), AWS or GCP
  • Previous experience in the real-estate or hospitality industry
  • Previous experience developing Data Vault 2.0 models
